A native Texan, Dr. Croley grew up in the Hill Country where she graduated #1 in her high school class and won the division 5A state championship in the mile run. She attended The University of Texas at Austin and graduated summa cum laude with a degree in Honors Biology. While at UT, she earned the distinctions of Distinguished College Scholar and member of the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society. She also competed on the Track and Field team as a scholarship athlete and earned the title of NCAA Academic All American. Her team won the Big 12 Championship during her senior year.
Dr. Croley then attended medical school at the University of Texas Medical Branch and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society as one of the top 10 students in the class. She pursued a dermatology residency at The University of Texas Medical Branch and won numerous awards, including Outstanding Resident of the Year.
Dr. Croley then had the opportunity for advanced specialty training in Dermatologic Surgery at the University of Texas Medical Branch, during which time she was awarded Outstanding Fellow of the Year. During her training, she was involved in many research projects in the field of dermatologic surgery and published over 25 research publications. She has given numerous presentations at regional and national conferences. In 2017, her research on biased portrayals of dermatologic conditions in the cinema was globally recognized and was the third most read research publication in the major academic journal JAMA Dermatology. Dr. Croley has also served her community through various volunteer efforts, including delivering vaccinations during the COVID-19 pandemic, providing free medical care to qualifying underserved populations at the St. Vincent’s clinic, and coordinating AIM for Melanoma 5K fun runs to benefit the foundation.
Dr. Croley is double board certified in Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery and completes over 1,200 Mohs surgeries annually. She is proud to be part of the Woodlands Dermatology Associates and is currently performing surgeries in the practice’s surgery center. Dr. Croley is married to her amazing husband Sawyer, who is an Orthopedic Surgeon specializing in hip and knee replacement surgery at Houston Methodist Clear Lake (www.sawyercroleymd.com).
